Just a week after visiting Dr. Kizza Besigye at Luzira Upper Prison, Firebase Entertainment singer, Bobi Wine today attended the former Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) presidential flag bearer’s court hearing at High Court in Kampala.
Speaking to our sources after the court hearing, Bobi Wine said that he was there to stand with Dr. Besigye considering the suffering he is going through.“Dr. Kizza Besigye is the symbol of the struggle we are going through. I had to come and be in solidarity with him,” Bobi Wine said. Asked to comment about the rumours that he plans to vie for the Kyadondo East parliamentary seat, which fell vacant after FDC’s Apollo Kantinti was thrown out by High Court over electoral irregularities in the February 18 elections, Bobi Wine said it’s not yet time to talk about that. “Right now I am not here to address rumours but rule of law,” Bobi Wine said. The “Situka” singer joined family members, friends and FDC leaders, who attended the court hearing to show their support to the former FDC leader, who is being charged with treason.
