The event featured local and international artists: Captain_khalid from Germany, Idris Sultan from Tanzania, Alex Muhangi from UGANDA, Chipukeezy from KENYA, MC Pilipili and Dogo Pepe from Bongo!
According to Chipukeezy, the event was quite a success;
Tanzania God will bless you for me yesterday you gave me the best reception ever #bestaudienceever i must come back again for another doze of laughter.. Big @idrissultan @alexmuhangi @captain_khalid @mcpilipili @dogopepe not forgeting straight up vibe #comedichustle#chipuvukaboda#ishakua 2nd Aprill we do the 1st ever East africa comedy in Nairobi
In other news, the Chipukeezy has confirmed that he’s indeed not the brand ambassador to Wema Sepetu’s KISS lipstick as had been earlier speculated. Speaking to The-Star, he brushed off the topic siting that he was just promoting Wema’s new brand:
“Come on now, I cannot be a brand ambassador for lipstick!” Chipukeezy said. ” Hiyo ni kama kuniita kimama indirect (That is like calling me a woman, indirectly).”
He added, “Anyway, I’m just supporting Wema Sepetu as she markets her lipstick brand in Kenya and in return she has offered to market my show in Tanzania. After all, she has a huge, loyal following on social media.”
