Is HopeKid Planning On A Collabo With Khaligraph Jones?

If you thought Kenyan music has seen enough of Gospel-Secular collabos then you are in for yet another of such in the making. Hopekid the General is set to release a song that features the lyrical giant Khaligraph Jones aka Baba Yao.

The Gospel sensation started music in high school but after clearing his fourth form, he retreated to a mentorship season that lasted two years under Mr. Googz to whom Hopekid is Pastor Moffat. He has since done major hit songs including Delilah featuring Ivlyn, Smile that features Benachi, Am Blessed, and Live Up among others.

To upcoming artists, Hopekid was kind enough to share his journey that involved his song being called whack by a radio producer when he submitted his earlier songs and being sent away from studios that considered his songs less of content. He advices any artist out there who believes in his or her gift to keep on, focus on giving the best shot in each and every studio session and on the importance of a hustle that will cater for production costs. The importance of quality must be in the mind of any artist who wants to make it big with time hence working with a producer who understands the artist and delivers on quality is key.

On controversies, The General as referred to by those he has mentored and fans alike, adds that his faithful walk with Christ and dependence of God for guidance through the Bible is what keeps him of controversy. He is set to release his album named General in December after a collabo with yet another big female artist in Kenya, maybe we in for more surprises but for now keep hands crossed as he releases the collabo with Khaligraph soon.

    Now you in the know.
