Diseases push one to breaking points especially when money is the big issue. Sometime back, we all remember Janet Ikua of Nation TV battling with Lung Cancer in India. Though she won, we clearly saw the importance of frequent checkups for early diagnosis.
Just recently, another media personality was diagnosed with a rare disease called Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) ,a disease that is characterized by pain or swelling on legs, but may occur without any symptoms.
Ghetto Radio presenter Celina Njoki has been diagnosed with Deep Vein Thrombosis. She has frequented hospital visits lately since the diagnosis. She took to her Facebook page and broke the news to all her friends and fans saying:
“Hi my dearest friends of late I have not been feeling well… I have been in and out of hospital being admitted and discharged… Am suffering from (deep vein thrombosis DVT) AND I KINDLY NEED YOUR HELP URGENTLY… I require a lot of blood donors from (O+) O positive… If you can donate please come to Avenue Hospital in Parklands to donate and ask for Celina Njoki at the female ward… (TELL A FRIEND TO TELL A FRIEND) A FRIEND IN NEED IS A FRIEND INDEED!!! # NoSympathyJustP
We wish her a quick recovery.
